La Torre Golf Resort Information

La Torre Golf Resort is situated in a unique area of Spain and is an ideal place to spend your holiday.  La Torre offers a wide range of on resort facilities.  The perfect place for a family holiday … ideal for a golfing and family holiday … or enjoy a golf break on Resort playing the Nicklaus Trail.  The Resort is based just 20 minutes from the beaches on the Mar Menor and 25minutes to the Mediterranean, providing over 170km of unspoilt coastline in the region of Murcia.  Murcia City centre, historic and romantic with its Moorish beginnings, gothic and baroque influences, a small city with a big heart; cafes and restaurants spill out across the cobbled squares or plazas, intermingled with excellent exclusive shops and boutiques.

A free shuttle bus from the resort is available to take you to neighboring Polaris World Resorts to enable you to enjoy the other Nicklaus Trail Golf Courses, experience the restaurants, hotels and Spa facilities.  There are more than 9 Polaris World Golf Resorts which will be completed within a 25km radius of La Torre.

All villas and apartments have access to one or more of the 15 community pools around the resort, there are numerous children’s play areas and each of the community pools has its own child friendly paddling pool.  Some villas and townhouses even have their own private pool enclosed in their private gardens, others have hot tubs.  The Resort has its own tennis courts, with private lessons and academy which can be pre booked through Murcia Villas Guest Services.

The resort has a lovely relaxed feel to it.  It has been well designed so that traffic stays away from the properties making the streets and cul de sacs quiet and safe for children.  There are a number of areas set out for children to play in with swing and slides or just areas of palm trees or fountains in landscaped gardens.
The centre of Murcia, capital of the province, is 30 minutes away and the ancient Roman and historic port of Cartagena is even closer.  Los Alcazares is a great town to visit.  It has a long sandy beach which is on the shallow and safe waters of the Mar Menor.  The beach has a wide promenade which runs along its entire length and has numerous beach bars and restaurants.  The town itself has numerous large supermarkets, there are quiet plazas to enjoy a coffee or sit out and enjoy a dinner in the evening. There are some lovely Spanish restaurants and tapas bars. 
For your peace of mind there is 24 hour security with regular patrols by the security staff in marked patrol cars.

Air conditioning is standard in the accommodation.  Cleaning and laundry and a welcome pack are included in the price of the accommodation.  Discounts are available for holidays of 10 nights or longer, early bird discounts and late booking discounts are available upon request.

Other restaurants can be found just a short drive from the resort in the villages of Roldan, Torre Pacheco and Balsicas.

El Valle Golf Resort

El Valle is one of the most exclusive resorts in Murcia.  With just 688 apartments and luxury villas with pools set in a beautiful, but spacious landscaped resort.

The Golf Course
Legendary golfer and course designer Jack Nicklaus presents a simply stunning 18 holes of arguable the best desert links golf in all of Europe. The golf course twists and turns through  the centre of the Resort and takes full advantage of its desert setting with numerous holes playing adjacent to the naturally existing rocky outcrops and ridges. It has been landscaped with many species of native shrubs, grasses and other desert plants.  There are a number of water features; two large lakes; streams and waterfalls strategically placed, making this is the perfect course for developing any player's strategy.

The Front Nine:
Lush fairways and slick greens stand in stark contrast to the baron back drop of the mountains with the front nine holes offering a fair yet demanding test. The challenge begins with two impressive par 4’s followed by a distinguished par 5. There is a long par 5 with the 7th hole measuring almost 600 yards. One of the most scenic holes on the front nine is the 8th - this devilishly tricky short par 4 is played towards a raised undulating green.

The Back Nine:
Featuring El Valle’s signature hole the superb par 4 11th is a short but very exacting test - the small green is protected by bunkers and rock formations offering little margin for error. The tee is set breathtakingly high, overlooking the rest the course and on a clear day looks directly out towards the spectacular Mar Menor sea in the distance. The final hole will leave you hungry for more as this medium length par 4 winds it’s way back towards the club house which over looks the final green.

Accommodation at El Valle
The properties fall into two categories, apartments or villas with private pools.
The stunning villas are beautifully designed and perfect for relaxing holidays with family or friends.  Villas are detached stylish bungalows.  The exceptional large lounger diner features a vaulted beamed ceiling and 3 sets of patio doors out to the private pool.  All the villas have a fully fitted separate kitchen with Amercian style fridge freezer.  The villas sleep up to 6 people  in three large spacious bedrooms.  There is a family bathroom and the master bedroom has an ensuite bathroom with Jacuzzi bath.  Outside the design comes into its own to make your holiday that bit special with internal and external terraces and patios, with a pergola and a covered dining area and built in BBQ.
Apartments are stylish with stunning views of the golf course.  Set in low rise blocks of four floors or less they feature their own poll exclusive to each block. Apartments are 2 bedroom with 1 bathroom or two bedrooms with two bathrooms and sleep up to 4 people.  The apartments too have a unique external terrace and dining area.  These spacious apartments are well appointed and styled traditional features such as wooden shutters. 
All the accommodation on El Valle has been built to the highest quality with the exception attention to detail making the most of the stunning views and scenery.

Mosa Trajectum

Mosa Trajectum is a large and well established 27 Hole Paradise Desert Golf Resort located within 15minutes of the centre of Murcia. 

The Golf Club Mosa Trajectum is divided into three nine hole courses which have hosted the final of the PGA Europro Tour Championship in October 2004.  The Stone Course PAR36, Olive Course, PAR36 and the Pine Course PAR36, making a total of 27 holes of golf.  This offers the possibility of playing not one, but three separate 18 hole courses – depending on the level and experience of the golfer.

There is a spectacular nine hole Par 3 Challenge course which together with separate pitch and putting greens, a training bunker and driving range provides plenty of opportunity for practice.

At the heart of the resort is a historic parador sympathetically converted into a Four Star hotel and restaurant, with a bar area for socializing over a drinks with friends at the end of the day. The Commercial centre (due to open soon) will provide a range of shops, restaurants and bars. For non golfers, the resort offers two hard tennis courts, a paddle tennis court as well as outdoor table tennis, basketball area and a children’s play area. Being surrounded by a UNESCO protected nature reserve, there are many opportunities for walkers.

Golf Academy
The Academy is the right place for your first lessons or to obtain a professional license. For this purpose the Academy is equipped with a variety of tools like mirrors for swing analyses, video cameras, video monitoring and a sloping practice platform which will all help you to improve your technique. There are practice greens for chipping and putting and a movable covered driving range available.

Accommodation on Mosa Trajectum

The accommodation is divided in two distinct classes at Mosa Trajectum. 

Detached villas with pools make up the majority of the houses at Mosa.  These are set in large plots with big patio gardens.  Generally villas are two bedroom two bathroom or a three bedroom villas with two bathrooms.  The villas are spacious and well designed with spacious living areas and large outside patios to enjoy the best of the Spanish weather.

Modern apartments have been built recently in the style of townhouses giving the area and village style feel to it.  These apartments have underground garage parking and either large gardens or terraces.  There are several large swimming pools which the apartments share.  The pools have Jacuzzi sections, fountains and slides for the children.  Apartments are spacious 2 bedroom 2 bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath in the master bathroom.
