La Torre Golf Resort
Designed by Nicklaus Design, La Torre golf Resort course offers 18 holes, par 68, with four tees for each green. Distances: white set of tees, 5,350m; yellow tees, 4,934 m; blue, 4,402 m; red, 3,822 m. In total there are five hectares of bunkers that separate the holes creating strategic points which provide added value to the shots. Also, a denser grass has been planted around the bunkers creating the optimum wind shot effect. Three lakes complete the exuberant landscape of this course. One of the shorter Polaris World courses La Torre Golf is ideal for both average players and those with a high handicap. At the same time the course who teeing off from the tee will have to devise the best strategy to cover the fairway with the perfect shot. |
| El Valle Gof Resort
Also 18 holes, par 71, with four tees on each hole. Provisional distances: white set of tees, 6,150 metres; yellow tees, 5,564; blue, 5256m; red, 4,406m. The golf course has been created with grouped holes to offer a more open and natural golf experience and, rather than length, the course relies on numerous subtle strategic elements to challenge golfers. Players are rewarded for daring and courageous shots. There is a natural desert setting, with exotic flowers and plants, cactus, desert roses, rocks, caves, rivers and waterfalls. The bunkers are gracefully landscaped into the surroundings and in summary it’s the perfect course for developing any player’s strategy. |
| Mar Menor Golf Resort
Originally designed by Dave Thomas with 9 holes, at par 36, it will be extended to 18 holes by Nicklaus DesignThe golf course at Mar Menor Golf Resort was opened in 2005, marking the first stage of the marvelous Nicklaus golf trail for Polaris World. Each hole on this requires the utmost attention and concentration; everything rests on the player’s ability and problem solving skills to overcome the problems presented by this incredible golf course.
The course demands a wide range of shots to deal with the obstacles successfully. Lakes play a key part in the development of play and this kind of strategic feature requires great skill and courage on the part of the player. This lush Mediterranean landscape full of palm trees, native grasses and flowering shrubs adds to the beauty of the resort.

| La Serena Golf Resort
La Serena Golf lies just south of the municipality of Los Alcazares right next to the Mar Menor. The course encircles the 500 year old “Torre del Rame” which was originally built to keep watch for pirates who took refuge in the tranquil waters of the Mar Menor. Mainly flat , the main difficulty on the golf course will be the prevailing Levante wind and the many water hazards that come into play on 16 of the 18 holes.
The course, which is not overly long, has a traditional structure. Accuracy off the tee is a must for the player, who must thread their way to the green amongst the clusters of bunkers, desert areas and water hazards. There are also large stretches of “desert” with the accompanying cacti. As long as you keep out of the water it is difficult to lose a ball, however, don't forget the water. A conservative approach to course management certainly pays. |
Roda Beach & Golf Resort
Roda Golf and Beach Resort opened in June, 2006. The 18 hole, par 72 course has been designed by internationally renowned golf architect Dave Thomas and as you would expect the construction specifications are to the highest standards. Dave himself is rightly proud of his creation and has cleverly shaped the previously flat landscape into an interesting and undulating golfing terrain that is pleasing to the eye and provides an interesting and challenging test of golf.
The design incorporates three strategically located lakes and a great deal of emphasis has also been placed on integrated tree planting and landscaping. The overall result is a course they are sure you will enjoy and kept in excellent condition. The greens are flat and true, fairways generous and well cut, the rough is deep and unforgiving, the bunkers are unusual and take some getting used to. This is a challenging technical course which will be enjoyed by players of all abilities. |
